SHIRA DEBUTS "BLAST THAT RADIO" VIDEO AT TRASH PARTY, FEB 17 2012 AT STUDIO AT WEBSTER HALL; PARTY WILL FEATURE CAPTIVATING ENTERTAINMENT SHOWCASE AND NEW SINGLE
New York, New York--Shira, best known for engaging audiences with her high energy shows and on stage antics with her all girl band Shiragirl, will be debuting the video to her new single Blast That Radio at the Studio at Webster Hall on Friday, February 17, 2012.
Blast That Radio is a club inspired dance track with a rock edge, produced by Raine Palladino. The single is a sexy party romp with thumping bass lines, thrilling synth sounds, and shredding guitar, which is indicative of the new sound that Shira previewed to audiences during last summer's Warped Tour 2011. The video features Shira, Rainey P, and their crew of girly dancers, urban punks and outlandish queers, tearing up the night in a red convertible which lands them at a raucous and provocative pool party.
The video was directed by Miami's own Mike Montoya of Montoya Photography, and produced by Conquer Entertainment. Ramono Martelli of Shock Vintage Shock Star was the primary stylist for the video, assisted by Kayleigh Hair of Miaou clothing. Hair and makeup were done by Adrienne Giffen and Danielle Conklin, who used Motives makeup, an award winning product line developed by fashion and style icon Loren Ridinger.
Shira first made music history by crashing the Warped Tour in a hot pink RV, after which she was awarded an MTV Warpie Award for The Most Punk Rock Way to Make Your Way In To The Family. She also earned a special place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Warped Tour exhibit for her making her mark on the Tour, including hosting a female-fronted stage which featured the likes of Paramore and 200 other bands across the US and Canada. Shira went on to share the stage with artists such as Joan Jett, NOFX, Rancid and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
The video premiere and release party will take place at the infamous Trash Party, downstairs at the Studio at Webster Hall, with appearances from nightlife impresario DJ Jess, resident host Twig the Wonderkid, trashy go-go's and a late nite cabaret performance. The Goodnight Darlings will open the night. The party will also feature promotional giveaways from sponsors.

“COCKTAILS FOR CANINES” EVENT AT WALKER’S WINE BAR IN RIVERSIDE ON THURSDAY AUGUST 26TH, AND CARIBBEE KEY ON AUGUST 27TH, 2010: EVENT TO BENEFIT THE BENTLEY FOUNDATION (FOUNDED BY JACKSONVILLE BEACH NATIVE ASHLEY CHESNEY TITCOMB). PRIMO, PABST BLUE RIBBON (PBR) AND SICK SURFBOARDS DONATE SPECIALTY AUCTION ITEMS
Jacksonville, FL, August 19, 2010: Jacksonville Beach native Ashley Chesney Titcomb, together with fellow native Karen Barnes of KBar Productions, will be hosting Cocktails for Canines, a fundraiser and auction for the newly formed, pet focused non-profit titled The Bentley Foundation. The first event will be held on Thursday, August 26th at Walker’s Wine Bar in Riverside from 10pm-Midnight. The second event will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at Caribbee Key, 100 1st Street, Neptune Beach, Florida.
Walker’s, a part of the emerging King Street Entertainment district in Riverside, has provided selections from their beer, wine and champagne menu for the auction. There will also be art, photography and vintage fashion items. Chateau Vintage Hand Picked Clothing will partner with Jeff Harrington of Harrington Design to host a Vintage Fashion Photo Shoot during the event. Chateau Vintage will showcase hand picked clothing from the 1940’s through the 1990’s, reimagined, and styled for contemporary wear. DJ Bizzi will spin an eclectic mix of dance, top 40, urban, reggae, hip hop, house and Latin music from the USA, Europe and the Americas. There will be doggie treats and water for all canines on the pet friendly patio.
The second auction, held at Caribbee Key in Neptune Beach, will feature a large quantity of outdoor adventure items, donated by Primo and Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR). Branded PBR Auction items include a 2 person tent, a sleeping bag, limited edition bocci ball set and horseshoes, bar stools, back packs, beach bags, and the wildly popular “corn hole” game board. Primo, an Island lager enjoyed by locals and waterman in Hawaii for over 100 years, has donated multiple items including portable, insulated fish backpacks and bags, glassware and clothing. Primo will also be offering product samples for those 21 years of age and older. Photography, art, and gift certificates from local merchants will also be available at the auction.
Sick Surfboards, based out of Cocoa Beach, Fl, will be donating items from their hand crafted selection of high quality performance boards.
Both events will feature life size Connect Four competitions for those 21 and up.
“I am excited and honored to hold my first fundraiser event in my hometown”, Ashley said. “I have always been an animal lover, and the foundation is named after my beloved puppy Bentley, who died last spring because I could not afford the thousands of dollars it took to run the diagnostic tests he needed. I decided that I would turn this negative into something positive so that Bentley's life could serve a greater purpose. Our mission is to provide financial assistance to pet owners in emergency medical situations, because you can not put a price on saving a pet's life “.
Ashley currently lives in Los Angeles, CA where she works on a variety of entertainment and event marketing projects. Barnes, an Arts & Entertainment Marketing Consultant, and former Art Walk Director for Downtown Vision in downtown Jacksonville, produces and promotes events for clients in Florida, New York and California.

Sidewalk as Catwalk: Fashion Show to take place at Dive Bar, Mark’s and Bay Street Sidewalk during 1st Wednesday Art Walk
The Dive Bar and Mark’s have joined forces with KBar Productions, Chateau Vintage Hand Picked Clothing and The First Wednesday Art Walk to present a Summer Collection runway fashion show. The show, originally set to take place exclusively at the Dive Bar, has expanded to include Mark's. Part of the sidewalk in between the two venues will also serve as a catwalk. The show is on Wednesday, June 2nd, at 7 and 9pm (during the 1st Wednesday Art Walk).
Mark's and Dive Bar are excited to host this one of a kind event. “This idea is a new twist on the Art Walk and we look forward to working with a variety of artists and designers in the future to help get the word out about nightlife on East Bay Street." says Mark Hemphill, owner of Mark’s and The Dive Bar.
“We had never heard of a catwalk that began in one venue and ended in another. We thought that the two venues each had unique appeal, and that the sidewalk element really embodied the spirit of the Art Walk making art accessible to the public.” said Karen Barnes, event producer/promoter, owner of KBar Productions and former Art Walk Director.
For the June 2nd show, Chateau Vintage will feature hand picked clothing from the 1940’s through the 1990’s, reimagined, and styled for contemporary wear. Chateau Vintage also styles for fashion shoots, film and television sets, print and online media and various other occasions. Kayleigh Hair and Meredith Gieger, owners of Chateau Vintage spent a year in Orlando building their Etsy store, showing at local events, and selling clothes at various stores throughout the city. They relocated to Jacksonville, Florida three months ago with ambitions of doing the same for the Jacksonville market. “We are ready to take Jacksonville by storm. Our summer ’10 collection is fun, flirty and elegant. I am ecstatic to show the world who we are and what we do!” said Kayleigh. Meredith said “We are thrilled to feature our summer collection at this event. It is the perfect way for us to make our debut in the Jacksonville market”.
Accessories for the show will be provided by Moth House, a Jacksonville based jewelry line created by Sharina Mirpuri. Moth House features limited edition jewelry handmade from a mix of vintage and new materials. Her Spring/Summer 2010 collection has just been released and is available online and in boutiques across the country.
Runway Coordinator for the event is Bobby Cleaver, who has worked with such artists as Lady GaGa and Enrique Iglesias. He will be assisted by Suave Gordon of the John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center, Jacksonville location. Nightlife photography for the event will be provided by Smile For Camera. Studio lighting and sidewalk photography will be provided by Jeff Harrington of Harrington Design, and indoor photography will be provided by Brittania Garden. Hairstyling will be provided by students and stylists at the Paul Mitchell School at the St. John’s Town Center, as well as independent stylist Casey Powell. Lora de Silva, Jennifer Starling and Chai Janvier of the MAC store at The St. Johns Town Center will be providing makeup artistry, as well as Becca Bussert of Make Up by Becca. Sidewalk chalk art is provided by Chris Hsu who specializes in humor, editorial, and book/narrative work. He is a former illustrator for American Greetings Corporation and his work has been featured locally, nationally and internationally.
Admission to the show is FREE, and special seating is available for the media or those with special needs.
The venue is 21 and up only, proper attire or creative dress is required. Featured drink specials include $1 PBRs, as well as $2 wells and $3 calls.
